Every company has a mission. What's ours? To empower every person and every organization to achieve more. We believe technology can and should be a force for good and that meaningful innovation contributes to a brighter world in the future and today. Our culture doesn’t just encourage curiosity; it embraces it. Each day we make progress together by showing up as our authentic selves. We show up with a learn-it-all mentality. We show up cheering on others, knowing their success doesn't diminish our own. We show up every day open to learning our own biases, changing our behavior, and inviting in differences. Because impact matters. Microsoft operates in 190 countries and is made up of approximately 228,000 passionate employees worldwide.

Introducing Microsoft-Decision-1, our new model for fast decision-making. It delivers top performance on structured decision tasks, outperforming both LLMs and other decision models in latency and quality. We’re already testing it across Microsoft for everything from incident response and quality control to scientific discovery. Available now in Foundry and soon through OpenRouter: https://lnkd.in/gNh5aW8b

Our opportunity is to reinvent systems of record for an agentic world, not just build new experiences on top of them, while giving every business an entirely new way to orchestrate work and build what is missing. I believe all this can reset business SaaS. That is the direction we are taking at Microsoft: Copilot as a new OS for work, with a governed infinite SaaS factory built in.

Today marks a new chapter for Windows, as we bring unmetered intelligence to every desk and every home, and make every PC a place where agents can work securely on your behalf. Some highlights of what we announced: • MAI-Code-1.1 Flash: 137B parameter coding model w/ 256K context window, which is now optimized to run on your PC! • GitHub Copilot now hands off work to local models like MAI-Code-1.1 Flash, helping projects cost a lot less without sacrificing quality. • With Hybrid Intelligence, Copilot can now take action directly on the PC and keep sensitive work on your device. • And with Code in Copilot, you can essentially build any software you need on your desktop, without any cloud token spend, and it’s just super at it. You’re no longer limited to what’s in an app store! Your PC becomes an infinite software factory. • Security is foundational to all this, which is why we are also bringing together Windows and Agent 365 so agents can work within secure boundaries on-device, including MXC a local sandbox for agent execution. Windows becomes your secure agent box! • All this comes to life on a new generation of devices, like Surface Laptop Ultra, powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark. Can’t wait to see what you build with all this. Proud moment: for the third year in a row, Microsoft has been named #1 on Forbes World's Best Employers list. The ranking is based on an independent survey of more than 300,000 employees at global companies. They rated their employers on pay, growth, work-life balance, and whether they'd recommend working there to friends and family. Read more: https://lnkd.in/e5mX-prV

Over the years, France has given the United States much for which we should be grateful — from military support that helped secure our independence, to the Statue of Liberty that has welcomed generations to New York Harbor, and Alexis de Tocqueville’s insights into our young democracy. But I would argue that France’s greatest gift to America was an idea: That power needs checks and balances.
Getting help at work shouldn’t feel like another job. AT&T data scientist Natalie Gilbert is building an HR chatbot for the moments when people need support without another complicated process. We sat down with Natalie to hear the personal story behind her work. She shared how GitHub Copilot helps her review code and catch errors, giving her more time to understand the people she’s building for. Last night we opened a door unlike any other. At the heart of Microsoft’s campus, step into the new home of the UW's Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) and you cross from Microsoft into the University of Washington. No one has ever put a great research university and a leading technology company under the same roof quite like this. As far as I know, no one has even tried. The timing matters. Artificial intelligence is advancing fast. The question is whether the people building it understand the world it’s changing. This calls for a new style of education and leadership. We need leaders who understand the technology deeply and see things through other people’s eyes. Leaders who learn by collaborating on real projects with people from different countries and disciplines. That’s what GIX is built for. Students will learn from faculty across the UW, take classes taught by Microsoft employees, and be mentored by people from across our industry here in the Pacific Northwest. And it works both ways. Our first cohort of 30 senior technical leaders from Microsoft will spend their evenings here in a mini-MBA program, and our goal is three or four cohorts every year. This partnership will do great things for our two institutions, for our state, and as a role model beyond Washington. What we have today is strong. But what’s to come will be even greater. So many people made this possible. Thank you to UW President Robert J. Jones, who saw that this could matter even more in the future than it does today, and to academic leaders across the university. To the incredible Microsoft team for backing and building this from the very beginning. To Redmond Mayor Angela Birney and our state legislators. To Christine Gregoire, who helped find a path forward when we needed one, and to Sean Carr, who has nurtured GIX into what it is today. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eKFKwTUN
